Connecticut Rapper MISTA Releases New Single and Music Video, "WAVEY"
The latest project from Hartford, Connecticut bred rapper MISTA pulls you into his innovative world of trap rap. In an unsuspecting style, his music cuts through difficult topics of social and personal growth by fusing them with hook-laden lyrical content delivered in a purely unadulterated manner. MISTA makes it his mission to create artistry with deep meaning and that is exactly what he has done with his new single. According to the rapper, "Wavey" is a state of euphoria &mdash coming from the joy of being successful and independent. "The people in the streets always found ways to provide for themselves, on their own, with nothing given to them." The Connecticut native continues, "The 'Piff' smoke helped us get through those times, so we are all wavey."
Shot in New York, NY, his new single pays homage to the "birthplace of hiphop." [MISTA]. He felt as though it was only right to shoot his new project in the city because of the vibrant culture. "WAVEY" was shot by Lamar Mcpherson of Mvisions, who has done work with Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, Freechie, Fabolous, among other high profile artists.
