Dallas lyricist Jay Luse announces "What You Like" single and music video
The Dallas hip hop lyricist known as Jay Luse has released the third single off this forthcoming "Soulful Attraction" EP. His latest single, "What You Like" has a laid back, soulful vibe and features the lyrical contributions of fellow rappers Coach Tev and B. Anderson. "What You Like" – the music video is now available on Youtube at http://buff.ly/1OSXgOE with the single available for streaming on Soundcloud.
Produced by Neal Thompson and Blue The Misfit (Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Schoolboy Q), the music video was filmed in the Metroplex and produced by renowned photographer/videographer Jeremy Biggers. "What You Like" is a thoughtful portrayal of what Jay Luse considers genuine hip hop music. The single is an overall mellow track reminiscent to the classic sounds found in Outkast‘s "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik."
Influenced by an array of musical genres, Jay Luse also combines neo-soul and soulful jazz when creating new records. The album’s first two singles, "Songs for Champagne" featuring Rei and "Vindicated" featuring Mick Jenkins both highlight Jay’s lyrical prowess and ability to fuse hip hop with soul. Formerly of the Dallas hip hop collective Channel X (TEN), Jay Luse has opened up for artists like Bas (Dreamville), Denzel Curry, Deniro Farrar, Mick Jenkins, Pro Era and Joey Bada$$, Snow Tha Product and Vince Staples. He will be performing at the Dallas Hip Hop Festival on Saturday, October 24th at Green Elephant, and opening for hip hop duo The Underachievers in Dallas on November 5th during their The Forevermore Express North American Tour.

Jason Lusengo aka Jay Luse is a Zimbabwean born hip hop artist out of Dallas, Texas who was born in Harare, Zimbabwe October, 19th 1992. He was raised in Dallas, TX after spending his first eight years of life in Zimbabwe. Jay Luse is apart of Denton, TX based hip hop collective formally known as Channel X(TEN).
