Los Angeles, CA - March 16, 2018 -- Tae Smooth is a Hip Hop artist and musician from Charlotte, NC. This citizen of the world has traveled to every continent except Antarctica and has served his country on a deployment to Afghanistan, flavoring his work with a worldly feel. Despite his start in life as a shy young boy, Tae Smooth has evolved into a presence that lights up a room. He credits his cousin for introducing him to rap and a trip to Thailand for giving him the confidence to create music. In Thailand, a local shopkeeper asked him if he was a rap star. Emboldened by the question, Tae laid down a quick 16 bars to a rapt crowd, and he knew music was his calling.
"Smooth Way Out" is a chronicle of Tae's journey through life, from the streets to the battlefields of Afghanistan. The debut album from the artist is filled with Tae’s life experiences and perspective. "Smooth Way Out" shows listeners that the smooth way out of a certain situation may not be the easiest one, but it’s definitely an effective one, and will be available April 1st.
"There’s two ways to get your voice heard, it’s by music and politics, and I’ve always stuck by that," said Smooth. "Everything is art. Your expressions are your art, and mine just happens to be my voice."
