(Los Angeles, CA) Feb. 11, 2020 — Emerging new R&B artist, Intelligent Diva, has just released new rap single, “Boyshorts.” The release follows her latest accomplishment of having a single, “I Like What I See,” in the major motion film, “Flint Tale,” directed by Marc Cayce.

Intelligent Diva has a vintage style, similar to that of Marilyn Monroe, but she also has an edgy side. This comes out in the new single, as it is inspired by sultry comments made by her boyfriend when she wears boyshorts. The song is also about being confident and owning comfortability in your own skin. She comments, “In the song I describe what he likes, and how it makes him feel. But, it's also about me. They make me feel sexy. I'm confident in the skin I'm in.”

Although the song may be promiscuous, it’s more of an anthem for adults that are focused on working hard in their personal lives and playing hard in their personal lives. Due to the song’s sensuous lyrics and club banger sound, the song may not be suitable for those under the age of 18. The artist sings both lead and backup locals in her new rap song.

“I Like What I See” was the first time the artist had a song featured in a movie, “Flint Tale,” and also the first music video she ever did. Her hair stylist was Nickie Wooten, and her daughter, Suqura Shannon, was the makeup artist. “I treat my music career like a business, so I believe in giving entrepreneurs like myself who work hard an opportunity. This was a big accomplishment for me,” says Intelligent Diva.

The versatile artist plans to release a single, “Sexy Walk” and an album later this year that will include rap, R&B, and commercial pop sounds. Her goal is to create songs that adults can relate to, especially those in romantic relationships. “Relationships can be hard when you’re working long hours, but you have to keep things spicy,” comments Intelligent Diva.

“Boyshorts” is available on all major platforms. To keep up with her current and future achievements, follow her on Instagram, and on her website for events, contests, and new releases.
