(Los Angeles, CA) April 8, 2020 — Rising singer, song-writer, Jace Heyman, has dropped the first single, “Drunk Text,” off his upcoming EP, Lovin' Under The Influence (LUI), coming this summer.
Jace, alongside Dean Risko, wrote the song, “Drunk Text,” while going through a painful breakup. The story follows him at the club trying to let off steam, looking for someone to distract him from his ex. He has no luck finding anyone that grabs his attention, so he sends the inevitable drunk text.
The song is about the feeling of missing someone you were once close to and wanting to talk to them again. He realizes after the text is sent it was a bad idea. Like so many others, he’s searching for a way to deal with a breakup, and although the song might not provide a solution, it provides some comfort for those going through a similar situation.
“Drunk Text” is a mixture of R&B/Pop with a bit of a soft Caribbean, London vibe. The sound and story fuse together into a song anyone can vibe to.
