(Los Angeles, CA) May 8, 2020 — Singer/song-writer, Jace Heyman, has released the music video to his newly released single, “Drunk Text.” The single and music video are from the upcoming EP, Lovin' Under The Influence (LUI), coming this summer.
The Caribbean Pop post-breakup record comes to life in the music video, as Jace is shown with his friends in their favorite club. He finds himself searching for a girl to take his mind off his ex, Cindy. Even though he finds a girl to distract him, he can’t help but have flashbacks to him and Cindy having fun in the same club. Jace finally sends the inevitable drunk text to his ex but misses her phone call after going home with the new girl from the club.
“Drunk Text” highlights all the rational and real feelings that arise during a breakup. Listeners will certainly feel the hurt and brokenness in the song, Jace’s hope is that people will know those feelings are valid. He’s also able to show genuine happiness in the music video as he is letting off steam and begins to heal from the heartbreak.
Jace recalls his favorite memories from making the music video including his closest friends and peers. Everyone was able to have a good time and give suggestions, turning the video into the masterpiece is it today.
