(Los Angeles, CA) November 13, 2020 -- Alternative rock band, Home is West, releases a new indie-rock EP, titled Here and Now.
Hear and Now features 4 tracks. “Mexico” a song with a little americana and old surf rock sound, is about the journey to finding inner peace. “Sooner or Later” is all about being a good person and sending the message that karma is real. “The Window” reflects on losing a loved one, moving forward but not forgetting. Remembering can be bittersweet, but Home is West lets their audience know they’re not alone. “Eight Seconds” was inspired by hearing 8 seconds of a conversation of strangers passing by. The song is about overhearing brief conversations and secrets of strangers. From an alternative to rock to indie, there’s a little something for everyone on Here and Now.
After being forced to stop recording in early March, due to the coronavirus, Home is West took this time to reassess the EP. By July, the band was able to go back into the studio, under the proper precautions, and record the entire project in 12 hours.
