(Los Angeles, CA) September 22nd, 2021 – Albert Mikkelsen's latest track, "Demerol," is available on digital platforms. With the artist’s characteristic dark and cinematic sound "Demerol" explores the edges of human emotion taking the audience through an explosive mix of desire and insecurity, and treating the listener to electronic bases flourished with pop, hip hop, and metal hints.
Albert Mikkelsen brings catchy melodies reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and David Bowie to his music. With a strong belief that music and poetry are vessels to achieve empathy, his lyrics are often created to tell the story of emotions through actual or fictitious characters.
In the case of "Demerol," the artist tells the story of love sought for all the wrong reasons. Through his music, Albert bridges the power of cinema and sound to create powerful and innovative artistic concepts. He is destined to be an influential staple in the music industry.
Influenced by Michael Jackson at a young age, his affair with music started while growing up in Barcelona. At an early age, he started collecting his records and envisioning making his music. By the age of 12, he determined music was his passion. Devoting his time searching for a voice of his own, he infused a diverse range of sounds from Lenard Cohen to Marilyn Manson to create a distinct tone.
Innovative and unconventional, Albert Mikkelsen does not have limits. "Demerol" lives up to his previous work, continuing to push musical boundaries.
