Reimagining Country Music: Jacob Rice Gears Up For His Debut EP, "Whatever Floats Your Boat," Out On August 19!

(Los Angeles, CA) August 12, 2022 - For Nashville sensation Jacob Rice, his time to shine is only just beginning. You can now listen to his second single, “My House,” from his upcoming debut EP—"Whatever Floats Your Boat," accomplished with collaborator James Sinclair-Stott—on all music streaming platforms! Rice is a country artist who incorporates elements of Pop and R&B into his music, with a distinctive way of expressing himself through his lyrics.

Set for an August 19 release via All Year Records, the five-song tracklist includes the acclaimed track, “How a Man Treats a Lady,” along with “Forever I Do,” “Floats Your Boat,” “Me You & Summertime,” and the aforementioned latest track, “My House.”

Rice’s unique sound combines elements of country music with a soulful vocal delivery, creating a tone that is all his own. Jacob’s music is inspired by renowned artists such as Train, Old Dominion, Bruno Mars, and Brett Eldridge. No matter your musical taste, Rice’s compositions are sure to speak to you personally with their authenticity, earnestness, and soulful, passionate vocals.

Now based in middle Tennessee, Jacob Rice has performed at many venues around Nashville and written songs with other rising stars in the industry. With his catchy melodies and hooks that will make any music lover want to dance and sing, it’s no wonder he received the following recognitions.

In January 2021, Jacob was chosen by The Bluebird Cafe and Taylor Guitars as the “Golden Pick winner.” After a year and a half, he was named a “Rising Talent” by The Bluebird Cafe. He was also the Middle Tennessee finalist of the 2022 Tennessee Songwriters Week competition. And at the start of this year’s second half, he was designated as an “Artist to Watch” by The Listening Room Cafe.

Jacob’s music has been featured on Spotify’s “New Music Nashville” and “Fresh Finds Country,” Nashville’s Radio SoBro, and Vermont Public Radio. He has been profiled in the Honky Tonk Times and on Nashville’s WKRN Channel 2 News. If that’s not enough, he was also seen teaming up with Chad Cromwell (Anders Osbourne, Joe Walsh, Neil Young) and Paul Worley (Lady A, The Chicks, Martina McBride). All these accomplishments are a testament to his hard work and dedication to making great, lasting music.

Another reason this rising star’s compositions have made an impact across states is his relevant approach to music. Jacob shares, “The EP is feel-good country. Over the last few months, I’ve really thought about what vibe and feeling I want to put out as an artist. I’ve always been told that I’m fun to be around, I go with the flow, and I’m always down for a beachside cocktail or a day floating in the pool, and I want listeners to feel that energy when they put my record on. This is Jacob Rice to the core.

Mark your calendars and pre-saveWhatever Floats Your Boat.” In the meantime, stream “How a Man Treats a Lady” and “My House” to get a taste of what’s coming. Jacob Rice is available on Instagram, and make sure to visit his official website to get real-time updates on his musical endeavors.
