The 13-year-old singer-songwriter brings his sun-soaked anthems to the Big Apple—and embodies the spirit of endless summer.
Summer 2025 just got a whole lot brighter. Thomas “TommyG” Ramirez, the young powerhouse from K-Town, is trading beach days for big stages this July as part of Kids Rock for Kids’ (KRFK) 4th Annual Come Together Festival in New York City. Selected for the festival’s global supergroup, TommyG is poised to turn his backyard charm into a full-blown spotlight moment—and he’s doing it all while riding the high of his latest single, Good Life Lovin’.
TommyG’s creative trajectory began in elementary school, where he first discovered his passion for singing during talent shows and school assemblies. When the pandemic hit, he doubled down on vocal lessons, refining his craft even as the world slowed down. Today, he’s a fixture at Texas venues, from Katy Central Green’s Back to School events to the Bobby Reed Show in Brazoria. But the bright lights of The City That Never Sleeps mark a new chapter for the teen, who credits his family and mentors for shaping his path. His dad supports his hustle, his sister inspired his love for singing during car rides, and his vocal coaches helped sharpen his talent.
His 2024 track, Good Life Lovin’, feels like a golden-lit postcard from summer break. With lyrics like, “Six foot waves and three weeks till school...” and “When the sunlight drops off, the nightlife picks up,” the song bottles the carefree energy of beach hangs, late-night adventures, and living in the moment. Meanwhile, his earlier single SIO—shared on YouTube and Instagram—further highlights his musical versatility.
The chance to join KRFK’s global band, the name to be announced, came from a mix of heart and hustle. After his band director shared details about the nonprofit, TommyG followed KRFK’s work and reached out to express his interest. Now, he’s gearing up to perform alongside young musicians from around the world at the July 6–13 festival. While the group’s setlist remains under wraps, TommyG confirms they’ll deliver crowd-pleasing covers—all while supporting KRFK’s mission to fund music education for underserved youth.
Between rehearsals and schoolwork, TommyG stays grounded. He’s also part of the teen band Z Alpha, proving his versatility as both a solo act and a collaborator. Though tight-lipped about the global band’s lineup, he calls the experience a chance to connect with peers through music.
Looking ahead, TommyG plans to keep creating music that makes listeners “happy and excited for what the future brings.” Whether it’s summer anthems or festival stages, his philosophy stays simple: live loud, dream bigger, and never stop chasing the good life.
Good Life Lovin’ is streaming now on major streaming platforms. Follow TommyG’s NYC journey on social media. For more information about the Come Together Festival, visit https://www.kidsrockforkids.com.
