Shannon K announces music video for new single, "Sapphire"
Shannon K has announced the release of her music video for her latest single, "Sapphire." The new song joins together several elements of pop and contemporary music with carefully composed production that compliments her harmonious voice. Directed by Kharen Hill, the video features a lovely couple enjoying each other's company through several captivating scenes. Backed by the highly melodic vocals of Shannon K, "Sapphire" is "about your beloved who's precious like a Sapphire to you and you never wanna lose it."
Influenced by the many sounds of modern day pop music, Shannon K began honing her vocal and songwriting skills at a very young age. The daughter of Bollywood legend Kumar Sanu, Shannon K is a talented performer who is hard at work cultivating her music career.
At the age of 12, Shannon K debuted her first single, "Roll Back The Years," a sincere, heart-felt song Shannon was inspired to compose after her younger sister, Anna wrote the lyrics when she learned a friend at school suffered the break-up of her family. The success of "Roll Back The Years," helped Shannon K gain a loyal following of supporters, and also opened the door for her to continue to share her voice through music.

Fourteen-year-old daughter of Bollywood legend Kumar Sanu made her first solo single on May 24th, 2012 at the age of 12 with a song written by her younger sister, Annabel K. Shannon was born in India and moved to London, England at the age of 6. She had developed a keen interested in music at a young age. She also learned the Indian Classical Dance form, Kathak, at a very tender age and first performed on stage when she was only 4 years old. She was also honored and performed dance again, when she was 6, at the Bollywood Awards Night, USA. After moving abroad, she became busy with her studies and began to focus more on music. She continues to work on her voice while currently living in New York with her mother.
