Marine Veteran/Indie Folk Artist Memo Skyy Releases Two New Singles This Spring

"Let You Go" and "What Would You Do" Highlight Memo Skyy’s Musical Range

Los Angeles, CA - April 13, 2018 -- Musician Memo Skyy defies the conventional perception of a former United States Marine, showing that members of the Armed Forces have a softer side as well. Memo Skyy’s newest release "Let You Go," available on April 27th, helps listeners let go of relationships that no longer serve them and move forward with their lives. The soft Indie Folk acoustic sound lends itself perfectly to the track, soothing listeners broken hearts with every verse and helping them let go with no regrets.

Memo Skyy produced "Let You Go" in addition to providing instrumentation and vocals. The track was mixed and mastered by Asaf Fulks at the OC Recording Studio. Christian Duran directed the music video, which will also debut on April 27th. "Let You Go" will be available on all major music platforms including iTunes.

Memo Skyy isn’t just versatile when it comes to his career choices, he’s also skilled in many diverse music genres, which he showcases in his funk pop/hip-hop track "What Would You Do." The track has an upbeat, Modern Motown feeling punctuated by rap verses. Memo Skyy’s intent with the track was to invoke a nostalgic feeling and giving it a modern twist. "What Would You Do" will be available on April 27th.

"What Would You Do" features work from Riddlez (Oscar Carretero) and was produced by Memo Skyy and Oscar Carretero.  Asaf Fulks also mixed and mastered this track at the OC Recording Company, and Damien Sandoval directed the music video, which will be released on May 17th.

Memo Skyy is always writing new material and is hoping to announce release dates for upcoming new releases in 2018. He will continue to make music about universal emotions and experiences like love and relationships, something he has experience with from his time in the Marines, where building the foundations for solid, trusting bonds with his fellow Marines was the difference between life and death.
