Los Angeles, CA - March 12, 2019 — Over the course of his already lengthy career, Royal has consistently released music that reflects the impact that his musical influences Drake, Fabolous, J Cole, and The Weeknd left on him. His latest project, EP "Sooner Than Later", puts his timeless sound on display.
Watson hit the ground running, early in his career. Flying down the path towards success, everyone expected him to get picked up by a major label very quickly. A few obstacles were tossed in his way and for a time, it slowed him down. Not being one to stay down, however, he’s back and more ready than ever to show the world his smooth flow and mature sound.
"Sooner Than Later" is a long time in the making, as the name suggests. He’s collaborated very closely with Tory Lanez (who is currently on tour with Drake), Letthabeatroc, and Brodie Fresh on this EP to bring a contemporary sound that will stand the test of time. Royal has created a hard-hitting, distinct sound as he has developed as an artist, putting forth his message of perseverance and strength. Watson will also be releasing a single with artists Katia entitled "Yeah" on April 26th.
"Sooner Than Later" was produced by Boi1da, Bobby, Letthabeatroc, and CashMoneyAP at Occupy Recording Studio in Newark, Delaware and Greentop Studios in Miami, Florida. The Grammy nominated engineer Johann Chavez also worked on this EP.
Royal is a hip hop artist who currently resides in Hockessin, Delaware. He understands the importance of giving back and he performs at dozens of middle schools and high schools. In the past, he has donated the proceeds from concerts and albums entirely to the community, spreading his generosity to the surrounding neighborhoods.
