"Body First", Zhang’s single from her new album entered Top 100 in the first week of American Radio Promotion. On YouTube, it got 3 million views in the first 8 days alone. "Body First" didn’t stop there. In the first two weeks of its Malaysian radio debut, "Body First" was ranked No. 1 as well, which ushered in the establishment of Jane Zhang’s Malaysian Fans Association.
Reports from news sources all over the world, including Billboard, have expressed praise for Jane’s "Past Progressive" and have watched it land on 11 music charts including iTunes and Apple Music. Showcases on New York Times Square billboards and the Taiwan Ximending New World Building have captured brand new audience attention across the world.
Zhang said that the process of creating her first full English album was challenging and it helped her to push herself and grow as an artist. She chose to pursue this undertaking out of a desire for growth and to get out of her comfort zone. Jane stated that this endeavor made her bring together her two selves, her everyday self that lives a normal life and the part of her that tries new experiences without limitations.
