(Los Angeles, CA) Feb. 18, 2020 — Rising artist Kamryn Marie has released her newest single, “Goodbye For Now,” off her latest EP, “Under Control.”
The song was written during a dark time in Kamryn’s life when she was struggling with depression and had thoughts of taking her own life. Kamryn says, “I don’t think many people with suicidal thoughts or depression actually want to die. They just want the pain to stop. I wanted to write a song that captured that feeling.”
“Goodbye For Now” is a chilled-out pop song with sad undertones, capturing the emptiness and foggy feeling that depression can bring. Through this emotive track, Kamryn wants those that are struggling to know that they are not alone.
By sharing her own story with her music, Kamryn is looking to spread awareness and show people that depression is a major problem that needs to be properly addressed. She believes in being a part of the change and singing/writing about the tough topics that don’t get talked about enough.
