(Los Angeles, CA) April 16, 2020 — La Sinclair is back with her newest hit, “Acapulco Gold.” The song follows her last two successful singles, “Won’t Let Go” and “OK OK OK.”
La Sinclair had a fairytale childhood growing up in sunny Acapulco. Her American father had moved to Acapulco in 1969 and by the time La Sinclair was born her dad was the most successful restauranteur in Acapulco, bringing in a who's who every night of American and European celebrities alike. This became the new norm for a young La Sinclair whose childhood stories could match anyone else’s.
The influence of this song came from her father’s description of what the old days in Acapulco were like when times were much simpler. La Sinclair was told of the old legend of a super-secret “Sativa” strand grown by God outdoors on the mountains overlooking the largest natural port in the world, the Acapulco Bay.
La Sinclair imagined what the '60s Acapulco state of mind was and wanted to write a song that could take her listeners back to that time, as well as serve as an anthem shedding the light on all the positive effects of marijuana and the personal part it played in her father’s life.
