“Wake Up” is an electronic, pop-rock ballad. Snowtown opens up about battling mental health and unwanted thoughts or feelings.
With mental health being a battle for many people, especially during the last year, Snowtown was inspired to produce “Wake Up”. They want to let listeners who are experiencing the same loneliness and depressive thoughts/feelings. Snowtown hopes to also be an inspiration to listeners to keep moving forward.
Band member Jesse, explains, “I want the listeners to know they're not alone in feeling the way they feel. If you don't want to wake up anymore. I understand. But you need to stick around. If not for the people you love, then stick around for me.”
